SKILL RATING AND EVENT DETERMINATION
1. Players will be asked for skill rating during registration. The basis of skill rating is a self assessment or coach assessment or peer assessment or a combination of these, using, as guidance, Skill Level Assessments from USAPA. Players will also be asked to indicate their home club. Club Leads will be asked to verify and endorse player skill level ratings.
2. The Tournament Director reserves the right to re-classify any player if found to be in the wrong category. The affected player shall be notified prior to close of registration. If a paid player decides to withdraw prior to close of registration due to re-classification of category, a full refund shall be given.
3. Age levels within each skill group may be merged by the Tournament Director. As an example, 3.5 19+ may be combined with 3.5 35+.  This would be a 3.5/19+ event.
Note: If there are not enough registrations for this to be possible they may combine as needed.
4.  Players can only enter in one skill level across events. They may either join events their skill level, ex. 3.5 or 4.0, or Open. Any player or team in a skill/age tournament requesting to play in a skill level HIGHER than their rating, may do so, but not LOWER. For example, if you are 4.0, you can enter Open but not 3.5.
5. Players of 2 different levels partnering must register at the skill level of the more advanced partner. For example, player A is a 3.75 and will partner with player B who is a 4.5. They must register in the Open event.
6. Players must select the appropriate age group and are allowed to register for a lower age group. For example, you are 56 years old, you may join 55+ events or 19+ or 35+. But a 30 year old can not join a 35+ or 55+ event.
7. When players of different age groups partner, they must join the age group event of the younger partner. For example, Player A would be 35 years old by December 31, 2024, Player B is 32 years old, they must sign up for the 35+ event.
8.  Senior players are requested to provide  ID for verification of age.
9.  It is the responsibility of players entered in more than one event to check for any conflict in the schedule of games.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
1. Event entries per event category will be divided into one or several groups. Maximum of 20 entries per event category.
2. The first round will be a single round-robin within each group, with a minimum of four games per entry.
