ANNOUNCEMENT
As of March 30, 2022, the following nine former IFP countries, representing the vast majority of pickleball players worldwide, including seven of the eight IFP full member countries, formally withdrew their membership in the International Federation of Pickleball or IFP:

In addition, the following IFP staff also resigned their positions, effective March 30, 2022:
These former IFP countries and IFP staff members are committed to building a collective international organization worthy of the respect of its member countries. An organization that is driven by integrity, democratic principles, transparency and inclusion and is willing to meet the needs of its members and endeavours to satisfy the highest standards of international sports governance.
A Task Force has now been established, composed of the Presidents (or their designees) of the nine former IFP member countries. This group is now actively exploring the best way to unify the sport of pickleball into a single, worldwide governing body. Options include joining the WPF, introducing a new international federation and merging the WPF into it, or introducing an independent, new international federation.
The joy created by our sport, its inclusiveness, health and social benefits, and the ability to unite all backgrounds around the world remains our goal, as we embark on this next chapter. As always, we remain grateful for your understanding and support and look forward to an exciting future for the sport of pickleball.
